Breast cancer poem:
Crowds of people gathered
walking, making stride
In sweet and gentle color
Wearing pink with boundless pride
Young girls wear that color
and feel pretty and feminine
Yet, the women dressed in pink today
feel the strength stored deep within
They are comforted by the numbers
that walk along their side
In honor of their loved ones
some of whom, have died
Others in this battle
too frail to fight this fight
Will hear about our victory
making major strides tonight
Survivors walk amongst us
reminding us we can win
If we feel the power
we all possess within
The color pink is simply a reminder
of a what a woman can do
She can fight the toughest battle
and yet somehow make it through
As each day unfolds
may your faith and hope never diminish
Hear our battle-cry, Breast Cancer
We will fight you to the finish!
